Nick is an experienced commercial lawyer that specialises in advising Government clients on major procurements, cooperative projects, and complex commercial arrangements, particularly the Department of Defence. He is based in Canberra and has supported many areas of Defence as a legal and commercial advisor.
Nick has specialist experience developing tenders and contracts in support of major projects, in particular in the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and Command, Control, Communications and Computers (C4) domains.
He has drafted and negotiated complex arrangements covering diverse subject matter areas including:
· Software as a Service (SaaS) licensing,
· agile software development and deployment,
· system integration,
· technology research and development,
· equipment sales and disposals, and
· gifting and capability transfers.
Prior to joining Aldermane, Nick worked with Defence as a policy and legal advisor, including in the Strategic Policy and Industry Division, International Policy Division, and, most recently, as a Legal Officer for Defence Legal.
